I often dream when perusing through interiors magazines, wishing that I could jump into the page and experience what it’s like to have one of ‘those’ exquisite homes.  It happens to me quite often but this time I actually got to visit a perfectly curated home. Designed and styled by dreamy people with equally dreamy products. Oh and it’s a warm kind of minimalist home too! bonus!  Welcome the Cereal ABODE at the Greenwich Peninsula.

Rich Stapleton, Creative Director and Rosa Park, Editor of Cereal (both) put together this concept of an new kind of apartment for Aucoot. Styled to absolute PERFECTION by Copenhagen based stylist Natalie Schwer, her work…..I mean wow…..oh…. I was in heaven.

This home is minimalist in style with so much warmth and cosiness, furnished with modern and vintage pieces. It really is a dream apartment and for £1,550,000 you’d kind of hope so. Although I’ve seen some badly run down houses for over £1,000, 000 so in the land where money isn’t such a problem then it’s not so bad.  Anyway I’m not here to crunch numbers. The real value in conceptual apartment is that Aucoot, Rich, Rosa and Natalie have all carefully considered the use of space, modernity and livability. Not so common these days with greedy developers making unlivable spaces for big bucks. This is a refreshing change.

Concrete walls, marble plinths and floor to ceiling windows may not initially be your idea of homely but trust me, look at these pictures and ask yourself, would you like to live there? I think you know my answer already….

Above features the marble plinth by Menu I’ve previously obsessed about in the blog. A mix of polished concrete walls, warm wood, vintage furniture, marble and luxurious rugs are all harmonised by this simple colour palette.

    A very minimalist house – yet it all works together perfectly. With minimalism, it’s great to focus on whites and greys as your base colours and to use wooden furniture that features quality craftsmanship. Certainly, this style provides for an instantly relaxing feel!
