about

Hannah Trickett is a multidisciplinary creative, interiors writer, stylist, and consultant based in Copenhagen.

Hannah is a British (half Danish) creative living in Copenhagen. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree (honours) in Decorative Arts from Nottingham Trent University, UK.
The diverse structure of the course taught Hannah the importance of materiality, craftsmanship and design of many different fields and mediums. She specialised in ceramics for her final degree show making in a complex nine part mold for slip casting ceramics. The final piece was to investigate the complex process of the craft.

With a passion for craftsmanship and design Hannah developed her career in London as an interior designer (2004). Initially working for Fired Earth (who sell many handcrafted items and support independent makers).
She then spent several years designing interiors for residential clients through companies such as Fired Earth, Cp Hart and Day True. High end bathroom design was the common thread. Hannah’s fascination and experience with surface design, trends, product specification, interiors and spatial design became a natural progression to a freelance career (2010).

In 2010 complications in Hannah’s childhood illness (hydrocephalus) became more apparent resulting in multiple brain surgeries. This continued for at least 5 years. Throughout this time Hannah kept working, mostly blogging and styling. Which has now become another creative passion.

Today Hannah runs her freelance business from her home in Copenhagen, working as a multidisciplinary creative. From blogging, design writing, consulting to styling. She has also reconnected with her ceramics passion, creating sculptures and one off pieces.

“I believe in a pared back, considered approach to design and consumerism. My blog carefully curates and selects good design. I aim to help inspire, sharing my thoughts, observations and styling. I thrive on learning about design and craftsmanship.
Living with a health condition has highlighted how designing a home around my personal needs is incredibly important and valuable for my wellbeing. I apply this way of thinking with my design ethos. I’m very excited to share this meaningful and creative journey. “
