I love artwork and prints. I can through phases of what I like to put up on my walls but I think it’s fun to rotate art. This way it keeps the walls interesting. Currently I’m in a very monochrome mood and I was happy to see that Desenio have a vast amount of prints to offer. In my effort to keep things minimal I haven’t chosen to do a gallery wall just yet. Just a select few and with the Desenio prints being so affordable, I can buy a few more to play with. I’m opting to hang my frames simply in a slightly offset fashion.
The main room that needed a little help was the bedroom. This is my super calm and minimal space and I want the artwork to reflect that. I’ve been playing around with what to hang and where. Laying the items on the floor and using washi tape to temporarily hang them. I chose two types of frames, black wood frame by Denenio and black aluminium frames by Moebe (that Desenio sell). Both a classic frame and a modern frame.
The great thing about the Moebe frame is that it’s designed in such a minimal way, with each side of the frame begin held together with one elastic band.
I was torn between the Moon Phase print or the Ink textured print for Stephen’s side of the bed. I hung both prints in this space and left them for an hour or two,, just to gauge how it looked. Finally choosing the Moon Phase for this space, the Ink textured print will go in the studio.
Many more monochrome choices over on Desenio’s site.
