Bye bye burner. Tomorrow we bid a farewell to our Bye bye burner. Tomorrow we bid a farewell to our brutalist looking wood burner. As part of Denmark’s new environmental laws we have to remove it from the property. As it’s quite old it’s not so safe (it leaks smoke into the room). 
When you purchase a property with an old burner, you have one year to remove or replace it. Not ideal when you’ve got so many other things to pay for. Soooo, I’ve not got a replacement yet, plus I want to redesign the space anyway. The flue will be capped off until we decide what to do. 
I’m sad to see it go but it will find a new home in the garden with dystopian-esque styling of ferns and grasses devouring it. 
The living room will change dramatically. And my task for removing the thick solid slate brick tiles will begin.
