Gifting with Danish design to a very special baby

Ferm Living Kids, Danish design gifts for babies

I’ve come to an age where a large number of my friends are now parents. It’s exciting to see how their lives are changing and how happy they are and I’m so happy for them. However, a little rant, it can get annoying when people assume and push for me to be a mother, it happens a lot when you are a childless thirty something (eyes roll). We all have our different circumstances. For now, I’m happy with the boyfriend and the cat (maybe a puppy will be next) and to be honest, I don’t need to explain any plans for my womb. Whatever happens, happens……

Anywayyyyy. Great news! My best friend who recently moved to Amsterdam has given birth to a beautiful baby girl! So last week I hopped on a plane to meet this special little lady. Of course I had to come bearing gifts, it can be a tricky thing to do as you never know what people have already. I wanted to bring a little of Denmark to this Dutch baby. Danish design brand Ferm Living have a huge kids section so I couldn’t resist selecting a few of their cute products.

I chose three adorable items in the same mint dot pattern and seen as my best friend is a bit of a hippy, I thought it’d be super important that everything was made from organic cotton. Everything was so cute and super soft that they were the perfect gifts. Of course it makes me extra happy that I’m pushing my love for Danish design onto a newborn, this is just the start……

Beautiful gifts and beautiful photos. And hear hear re: the first paragraph… I’m fed up of being asked if and when I’m going to have children! x

I’m the opposite. I want children and people are telling me not to go there!

Love these gifts, so so beautiful!
