northmodern vol. 3

If I’ve not said it a thousand times already, I’m a huge fan of Scandinavian design and being invited to the Danish design show in Copenhagen was super exciting, I had to go! This is the third northmodern show at the impressive Bella Centre and having visited before, I was looking forward to seeing how it’s developed and find some cool new products to swoon over and style with.

northmodern is a trade show unlike any other, it’s SO laid back, minimal and stylish which pretty much embodies the nordic design culture that I adore. After spending the majority of the three days  at the show (it was just too pretty to leave) I did indeed find some great things!

Onto the brands that stood out for me.

menu - modernism reimagined

Danish company, Menu, have launched their new ‘Modernism Reimagined’ collection. It’s breathtaking, strikingly simplistic and to any minimalist lover, it’s a dream. I am certain that you will think so too.

“With the new Menu collection, introducing our full furniture collection, we aim to create design objects that look like the simplest things you could imagine yet it is without doubt the richest we have ever done. The pure, minimalist objects are exquisite, while our furniture are light and carefully thought out. At Menu, we this year want to honour the late modernists, like them we think design is supposed to remake the world, to make it better, less complicated, but also to do something very essential: To design beautiful things. We call it Modernism reimagined.”
